About Jan

I’m a retired teacher and technical writer who loves needlepoint. I do mostly charted needlepoint and love choosing the colors for a new project. All the designs displayed on this blog are my own designs, unless I specifically name a designer. This blog is my way of sharing my love of needlepoint and things I’ve learned from 30 years of needlepointing. It’s also a way to show how my designs are developed, using research along with trial and error.

  1. I am so happy to have found your site. I have been teaching myself to embroider and am making my Moroccan husband a quilt of his sister and mother’s old dresses as a reminder of home, with hopes of embroidering on it as well. I will be coming back often!

  2. Thanks for popping by my blog…..I’ve been mooching around yours for a while :-)…and have you on my blog list so I don’t miss anything.

As you’ve seen, I’m in a Moroccan mood after my holiday there….and I love the way you are doing your Moroccan thing too.

I’m currently waiting for the arrival of a book on Moroccan carpets and their symbols. Expensive…but I’m sure it’ll be worth it!

    Glad we’ve made contact now!

  3. Hi Jan, just letting you know I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger award. Have a look at mine for the rules if you’d like to accept, and thank you for the inspiration!
