Mosaic Needlepoint Rug – Progress 15

I started this Mosaic Rug exactly two months ago. I thought I’d be half done by now, but that just isn’t happening. Still progress is being made each day, a little at a time.

There is another small motif in the center band now and I’ve started filling in the background around it so I can do another motif. And the center of the large motif has the design inside completed and the background is half done. I see many days ahead of me with nothing but background to stitch. I want to get to the other end of this large motif but I’ll work mainly on background for a couple of days and then do the other part. I woke up with more energy than usual today, so maybe things will move along nicely for a while now.

Here is the rug after two full months of stitching.

Still a long way to go. You can see my desk behind the canvas and it still needs to be cleared off. This tiny room can get messy in a very short time. I used to be so organized. I need to spend a little time each day getting the rest of the room straightened up. Just the desk left to do.

  1. Your rug is looking beautiful. I especially like the large lower right motif. As for the questionable organizational skills — lol — I used to be very organized also. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one losing that ability with age.
