Mosaic Needlepoint Rug – Progress #20

I have finished the outer border by stitching the last motif and filling in all the background. I’ve added the two rows of Mosaic stitches in Coffee Bean Silk & Ivory, a medium dark brown. Then I moved on to the wide band and continued to work on the medium motif and the background. I’ve gotten a lot done, but you can see I still have things to do over the next week.

I have a couple of days when I won’t have time to work on the rug, but I really want to finish this side of the rug by next Monday. I’ll finish the wide band and then stitch the last two motifs in the middle band and do the background. Now that I’m working on the bottom edge of the rug, I seem to be moving a little faster some days. Just not fast enough to satisfy myself.

The rug is 24″ wide and 36″ long, just not all the way across right now. I’m getting there.
