Peru Mantle – Progress 9

I have finally finished the top of the pillow. The area around the scrollwork has been filled in. And the space to the left and right of the scrollwork has been filled with black Scotch stitches. I’ve placed white paper around the edges again, so you can see how it actually will look without all the empty black canvas showing around the edges.

Now I can start on the same scrollwork across the bottom of the pillow. We’re expecting rain tomorrow and Tuesday so I won’t be able to work outside, which makes stitching on black canvas easier. So it may take me a while to complete this.

There is still one more step to do after all the black and scrollwork are completed. See you again toward the end of next week.

  1. You could try putting a white or red napkin on your lap–makes seeing the holes in the black canvas a little easier.
