Baluchi Rug – Progress 6

There’s still a little more of the borders to do on the right side, but you’ve waited long enough. Here’s the left corner with all the borders done. The last border is just a Gobelin border done over 2 threads in the darkest burgundy color (Trio’s Merlot by Brown Paper Packages).

The little green dots you see above the borders mark the center thread of the design so I can line up the center motifs easily. Here’s the whole rug so far.

I’ll continue to work on the borders along the right side. It won’t take long to get them all finished up. Then I can start on the center section with the large design motif in the center and lots of small areas surrounding it in many different colors. I’ll be adding 5-6 new colors to the colors from the borders to liven up the whole rug. Something for you to look forward to. Time for me to get back to work.
